How to Enable Audit on GL Batch information in R12

Goal:
How to see Deleted GL Batch information in R12.

Solution:

Till now we Can not find information about deleted GL batches which are unposted status like who are deleted and when deleted. We will not find this deleted information in GL tables and the front end application.
We can achieve this deleted information by enable Audit trail.

Now i am going to tell you how to enable Audit trail to GL batches.

Steps:
1. Assign AuditTrail:Activate Profile Option
2. Enable Audit Installations
3. Define Audit tables and desired columns
4. Define an Audit Group and associated tables
5. Run Concurrent program 'AuditTrail Report for Audit Group Validation' with parameter as your         Audit Group.
6. Define an Industry Template contain Audit Group
7. Run concurrent program "AuditTrail Update Tables"
8.Confirm existence of Audit tables (_A)


1. Assign AuditTrail:Activate profile option:
Navigation:System Administrator > Profile > System

Enter AuditTrail:Activate profile option and click on find button.

Select Yes and save your work.

2. Enable Audit Installations to GL:
Navigation: System Administrator > Security > Audit Trail > Install
Query with GL and Enable Audit Enabled and save your work.

3. Define Audit tables and desired columns:
Navigation: System Administrator  > Security > Audit Trail > Tables
Query with GL_JE_BATCHES and enter desired columns you want and save your work.

4. Define an Audit Group and associated tables:
Navigation: System Administrator  > Security > Audit Trail > Groups

Enter the following information
Application Name: General Ledger
Audit Group         : Enter your own name
Group State          : Enable Requested
User Table Name : GL_JE_BATCHES

Save your work.

5. Run Concurrent program 'AuditTrail Report for Audit Group Validation' with parameter as your Audit Group
Navigation: System Administrator  > View > Request > Submit New Request > Single Request
Enter AuditTrail Report for Audit Group Validation and enter Audit Group name.

Submit the program.

 6. Define an Industry Template contain Audit Group 
    Navigation:  System Administrator  >Security > Audit Trail > Audit Trail Reporting >Audit Industry Template

Enter the following information

Template Name  : Enter your own Template Name
Description         : Enter description
Functional Group : Enter your group name

Save your work.

7. Run concurrent program "AuditTrail Update Tables"
Navigation: System Administrator  > View > Request > Submit New Request > Single Request
Enter AuditTrail Update Tables program name and click on submit button.

8.Confirm existence of Audit tables (_A)

Once we run the above program Audit table is created with _A

For Ex: GL_JE_BATCHES_A

Testing:
Testing purpose create one GL Batch and delete that GL batch.

After deleting that GL Batch please run 'Audit report' from system administrator responsibility. Once we run this program we can see this deleted information.

We can see this information by using following SQL statement.

Select * from GL_JE_BATCHES_A
